Attend Technologies Ltd ("Attend", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform and services.

Attend is event management software for professional planners. Our services enable individuals and organisations to plan, manage, and attend events (in-person, online, or hybrid).
02Scope
This policy applies to all users of Attend, including:
- Event planners and organisers
- Their clients
- Event guests and attendees
- Vendors and partners
Where a planner uses Attend to manage a client's event, the planner decides what guest and client information is added. For that information, the planner is the data controller and Attend processes it on the planner's behalf.
03Information we collect
A. Personal information
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number, including mobile numbers used for WhatsApp or SMS
- Payment details (handled by our third-party payment processors; we do not store full card details)
- Profile information (bio, business name, preferences)
B. Event and usage data
- Event participation and history
- Guest lists, RSVPs, seating, vendor and budget records added by planners
- Communication logs (messages, RSVPs, confirmations, delivery status)
- Device, browser, and approximate location data
C. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics, for session management, analytics, and service improvement. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
04How we use your data
We use data to:
- Provide and improve our services
- Enable event creation, management, and participation
- Send event messages on behalf of planners, such as invitations, RSVP requests, reminders, and updates
- Communicate with you about your account, billing, or platform updates
- Detect fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
05WhatsApp and SMS messaging
Planners can use Attend to send event messages to guests, clients, and vendors by WhatsApp and SMS. You will only receive these messages if you have provided your mobile number and agreed to be contacted about the event.
Non-sharing of mobile numbers
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, or your consent to receive messages, with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are shared only with the messaging providers that deliver messages on our behalf (such as Meta for WhatsApp and our SMS carrier partners), and only for that purpose.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies by event. You may receive messages such as an invitation, RSVP requests, reminders, and day-of updates, typically no more than a few messages per week in the run-up to an event.
Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opting out and help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help, or email privacy@useattend.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
06Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR and Nigeria NDPA)
We process your data under the following bases:
- Consent
- Performance of a contract
- Legal obligation
- Legitimate interest
07Sharing of information
We may share your data with:
- Third-party processors that help us run the service, such as payment providers (Stripe, Paystack), messaging providers, hosting, and analytics
- Planners or organisers, if you are a guest, client, or vendor on their event
- Regulatory authorities, as required by law
We do not sell your personal information. Mobile numbers and messaging consent are never shared for third-party marketing, as described in section 5.
08Data retention
We retain your data only as long as needed to:
- Deliver our services
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
Planners can delete events, guest lists, and client records from their account at any time.
09Your rights
Depending on your location, you have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Withdraw consent, including opting out of WhatsApp and SMS messages
- Object to or restrict processing
- Complain to a data protection authority (the UK Information Commissioner's Office or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission)
If you are a guest on a planner's event, you can also contact the planner directly.
10Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical controls to protect data, including encryption in transit and access controls. Details are available on request from privacy@useattend.com.
11International data transfers
We operate globally. Your data may be processed outside your home country, but always under appropriate safeguards.
12Children's privacy
Attend is not intended for users under 13 (or the local age of digital consent). We do not knowingly collect data from children without parental consent.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
